Glen McClure was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. He fell in love with photography at the age of 19 when, on a whim he purchased his first camera. Although self-taught, McClure has been working as an advertising photographer for 27 years. Since 1993 he has been concentrating on landscapes, primarily from Ireland, Italy and Virginia.

McClure also enjoys creating black and white portraits of "real people on the street". His work has twice been selected for
inclusion in the prestigious Communication Art Photography Annual. His work can be found in the Polaroid Collection and in the permanent collection of the Chrysler Museum of Art, The Capital One Collection and The Art Museum of Western Virginia permanent collection.
